Shadow Hill Thoroughbreds is now using Prism to manage its finances and operations. 

Founded by Kim and Dale Alderton, Shadow Hill Thoroughbreds is a boutique family owned and operated farm located in Avenel in the heart of Victoria’s Thoroughbred country.  Rolling hills, lush pastures of clover and rye, and a mild climate are the perfect combination for optimal growth and development of young thoroughbreds at Shadow Hill.

Both Kim and Dale held management positions at Eliza Park prior to establishing Shadow Hill and are a formidable team.  Kim was a broodmare, farm and stud manager giving her invaluable experience in foaling down, caring and preparing weanlings and yearlings.  Dale worked as a farm and maintenance manager and was key to developing the infrastructure of Eliza Park.  Both were integral to Eliza Park during their 18-year tenure.  

Today, Kim and Dale are putting a strong emphasis on quality with only fifty horses on the Shadow Hill property at any given time.  They prefer to use natural farming methods, ensuring the ideal safe environment to raise and care for all horses on their property.
